Using the Inventry Sign in device
Using the Inventry Sign in device
At reception, there is a sign in device, made by Inventry, where students and staff can sign in and out of Dene Magna, and is how we track who is on or off site, in case of a fire drill etc.
However for this to be working correctly, we need to make sure we are using the system correctly. Please see below guidelines on using the Inventry Sign in system.
There are two ways to make sure that you are signed in or out of the inventry system.
- The more definitive way to sign in or out and to use the sign in screen found in reception at both Dene Magna Secondary and Sixth Form
- When you arrive, go up to the screen, you will see 4 options;
- Visitors
- DBS Pre-checked
- Staff
- Students
- You will select the option correct for you, in this instance "Staff"
- Select the First letter of your First Name
- Select your Name from the list that appears
- or
- Scan your Staff ID card on the scanner under the screen.
- You will either see "You have successfully signed in" or a list of reasons for signing out, if signing out, choose the reason that is correct for you.
- The less definitive way to sign in or out is through the door access scanners on each door for each building.
- On each side of the doors around site you will see black RFID card readers which open doors around site.
- To sign in, you will need to scan the "in" scanner on a door
- To sign out, you will need to scan the "out" scanner on a door.
- To identify, if the scanner is outside of a building, that is an "in" button, if the scanner is on the inside of a building, that is an "out" button.
- One thing to watch out for, is being signed out from scanning a door even when you are still on site.
