Clearing Browser Cache

Sometimes a webpage you frequently look at and go to can start to mis-behave and act strangely, 9 times out of 10, this can be resolved by clearing down your browser cache, this is best done in the first instance, but you want to make sure you do not clear any saved passwords or autofill data, otherwise if you rely on it for logging in, that will be lost if you are not careful.

The process...

  1. A web page starts to act up
  2. Go to the 3 vertical dots at the top right corner of Google Chrome
  3. In the Drop Down Menu, select "Settings" or type into the search bar "chrome://settings" and click enter
  4. Go to "Privacy and Security"
  5. Select "Clear browsing data"
  6. In the pop up, change "time range" to "All Time"
  7. Make sure that "Browsing History", "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files" are ticked
  8. Click "Clear data" - this will clear down only the ticked boxes
  9. Go back to webpage causing issues and click the refresh button
